Closest water to campus

• Percival's Island / 7th St Ramp — ~12 minutes from LaHaye. Downtown Lynchburg's canoe ramp and the start of both the hour-long "Downtown Quickie" and the classic Six Mile float.
• Blackwater Creek @ Hollins Mill — ~13 minutes. Shady, calm creek water; zero experience needed.
• Monacan Park dam pool — ~20 minutes. Glassy flatwater with mountain views; the sunset-paddle spot.

The between-classes float

The Downtown Quickie (Percival's Island → Riveredge Park) is about an hour on the water. With our door-to-water shuttle you don't need a car with racks — we handle the boats, you handle the paddling. Morning class, lunch float, back for your 3:15.

The broke-student math
